Brendan Carruthers, Aidan O’Rourke and Pat MacAvoy have stepped down from their duties with Tara Players and have passed the torch on to new blood! Taking on the demanding role of General Manager is Shannon O’Brien, very recently back in Winnipeg after spending 10 years in Toronto. Welcome back, Shannon! Paul Gray graciously takes over from Aidan O’Rourke in the challenging position of Artistic Director, and filling in for Pat in regards to publicity and marketing are Linda Kalturnyk and Siobhan Keely (me!). Now, as I write this, I have no idea what Aidan O’Brien’s official title was with Tara, (founder? director? actor? irritant?) so for now we will call him the former King of the Theatre, and in passing the crown, we round up the Tara board with April Gregora, Pete Hudson (house manager) and Lyle Skinner (tickets). These changes promise renewed energy and excitement for a very established and fantastic group of theatre people.
