Welcome to this, our 25th dinner theatre season! We’re delighted to present to you a season of lively and memorable works from a variety of Irish and Irish American playwrights. From the feisty season opener to a winning re-mount of the first ever dinner theatre production in 1981 and a laugh-a-minute adventure about robbing a bank – this year’s comedic offerings are sure to be real crowd pleasers. Our contribution to this year’s MTC Master Playwright’s festival – O’NeillFest, which features the work of renowned Irish American Playwright and Nobel Prize winner Eugene O’Neill, and our season finale/official ACT Festival 2006 Entry, will round out the season as two thought-provoking dramas which uncover and explore a darker side of humanity.

This year you will see both on the stage and behind the scenes the many familiar faces of seasons past and some new ones as well. And remember, the Tara Players are always looking for committed volunteers and enthusiastic theatre buffs to join our ranks and experience the magic of live theatre. We have immediate opportunities for a number of roles, both before and behind the scenes, so call us today!

Looking back over 25 great seasons, this storied company has come a long way, and indeed the great journey continues! We would like to thank our outgoing administrators for their past service and for the great legacy they now leave to us; as well as to those core volunteers who tirelessly return year after year to communicate this timeless and vital craft to our audiences. We would also like to recognize the many loyal theatre going attendees for their patronage over the years. Our faithful and stalwart season ticket patrons are the backbone of our audience and we thank them from the heart for their continued support. Whenever you choose to attend, we sincerely hope that you enjoy the wealth of entertainment that our intrepid and wonderfully intimate community theatre company has to offer.
