Letter from the President

Posted on November - 30 - 2008

Dear all Members,On October 26, 2008 the Annual General Meeting was held at 1:00 PM. Unfortunately the meeting could not be completed due to the fact that the fi nancial statements for the year were not yet prepared and therefore the meeting was adjourned – to re-commence on Sunday, Nov. 30, 2008 at 1:00 PM.

As a result of the adjournment elections have not yet been held and the existing Board of Directors is still in place until the completion of the annual meeting. All other reports and updates have been completed. We would like to take this opportunity to inform the membership of a request to make a change to the Constitution as follows: “Section 33. The fiscal year of the Association shall end on July 31 of each year.”This change will provide the book keeper and the accountant sufficient time to prepare the fi nancial statements for an October general meeting each year. It is customary for fi rms to allow the accountant a minimum of 90 days in which to prepare the annual fi nancial statements. We look forward to seeing you at the continuation of the AGM on Nov. 30/08.

Regards,Shannon O’Brien
