The Tara Players Theatre Company has been blessed over the years with strong and vibrant corporate support. For this we are truly grateful for without our corporate sponsors we would have great difficulty in staging our season.
We will be continuing to participate in two different festivals this year including the MTC Master Playwrights festival in January and the Acting Irish International Theatre Festival (AIITF) in in Winnipeg, MB in May/09. We have been participating as a company in both of these festivals since their inception and take great pride in the fact that our productions have received numerous awards and distinctions in both. These festivals not only help our company and our sponsors reach audiences beyond our dinner theatre demographic – but they are invaluable as tools to continually improve upon the quality of our productions and the overall experience as well.
For the 2008 – 2009 Tara Players Season we will be changing our format slightly. This year we will be producing 4 dinner theatre productions instead of the five we produced last year. The reason for this change is that the Tara Players will be hosting the 2009 Acting Irish International Theatre Festival (AIITF) at the MTC Playhouse Theatre in May 2009. This will give our sponsors a great opportunity to get some additional exposure for the same price
